Why do you use Redwood for your residential playsystems?
Why does Backyard Adventures use 100 percent natural redwood? BECAUSE IT'S SIMPLY THE BEST California Redwood has proven to be superior in durability, beauty, strength and resistance to the elements. And, unlike some other types of wood, Redwood does not contain harmful chemicals that may affect your children's health. Backyard Adventures only uses Redwood from suppliers that participate in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Programs (SFI). Structure and Integrity The heart of the redwood tree is naturally resistant to insects and decay. Its tight, thin cell structure is very unique; and therefore, moisture absorbs at a much much slower rate than other woods. This in turn, reduces the effects of decay and the attraction to bugs that may be looking for a home. Naturally Beautiful No other softwood has the rich beauty and deep grain texture of California Redwood. You can be sure that our Redwood play sets will stay aesthetically pleasing and compliment your home for years to come.

Why do you use flat step ladders with safety rails instead of round rungs?
Flat step ladders provide safer access to your play set. The flat 2 x 6 steps are easier for small children to use especially with the assistance of the steel safety hand rails that line each side of our ladders. In addition, out ladders hold the Backyard Adventures Lifetime Warranty against board failure. Insuring your children will be safer using our ladders.

How often do ther playsets have to be re-finished?
Direct sunlight to your playset will require re-finishing every other year or so. Shaded areas will allow 3-4 years between re-finishing. Keeping up with your play set maintenance is the best way to insure long term use! We also offer a maintenance service which includes a full power wash, re-stain, re-seal, and complete bolt tightening for your play set. Call any of our three locations to set up an appointment today.

Why should I buy from your company?
We belive in providing quality products and great service at a fair price. Most of our residential playsets are completely modular so when you come in, we design the perfect set for your family based on the age of your children, your backyard, and your children's interests. And as your children grow into the need for more challanging obstacles we can add onto your set so they get the very most out of your investment.

How much do your swing sets cost?
We offer a variety of play sets that start around $1,500.00. The economical Explorer Series is the next step up and provides great value for the price by including so many standard features. Our Specialty Line, made up of the Treehouse, Mountain and Jurassic Series are completely modular and easily customizable, which will keep your children interested for years to come.
