A family-operated business since 1961, Bergfeld Recreation has practically invented the business of residential outdoor fun.
Chuck Bergfeld learned the ins and outs of the commercial playground business right out of college. He was a salesman for several years for a commercial playground manufacturer, before he opened his own business, Bergfeld Recreation, in the early ’60s. In the late ’80s he added selling commercial grade residential wooden playsets, hoops, and trampolines. Since then, he has dedicated his life to being an outdoor recreation expert! They call him the “Godfather of Playgrounds!”
Today, Chuck’s daughter Christy & Second Mile Service Company continue to carry on Chuck’s legacy and look forward to providing lasting memories to families for many years to come.
